Philosophy
Our programs are inspired by leading methodologies and philosophies in early childhood education (Resources for Infant Educarers, or RIE, for infants and toddlers; the Reggio Emilia philosophy for preschoolers).
We follow a play-based approach that fosters autonomy and collaboration as children develop self-esteem and respect for one another. This approach supports our belief that young children are active learners who construct theories about their work and test these hypotheses during play and social interactions.
Environment
Our classrooms are welcoming, intimate environments furnished with an abundance of age-appropriate materials. Each has an adjacent garden, which is incorporated into the curriculum. Outdoor play areas are spacious and furnished with high quality, age-appropriate play equipment.
Parent Involvement
Open communication between parents, teachers and administrators is vital to our ability to provide quality programs. Parent advisory committees at both child development centers meet monthly with staff and administrators to discuss programs, and organize annual fundraising and graduation events.
