In addition to numerous recognitions by the city of San Francisco and other entities, SOMACC has won the prestigious “Top-Rated Award” by GreatNonprofits since 2014 for our unwavering dedication to our mission, and for providing vital services and care to our community.

The Mimi and Peter Haas Fund has named the Yerba Buena Gardens Child Development Center (YBG CDC) and Transbay Child Development Center (TB CDC) as “Model Centers” since 2005 and 2022, respectively, for providing high-quality, culturally responsive, and developmentally appropriate early childhood education to our neighborhood's low-income children and families.

Moreover, YBG CDC has been voted as the “Best Child Care in San Francisco” at the San Francisco Examiner’s Annual Readers’ Choice competition from 2015–2017, and was a Yerba Buena Alliance 2019 honoree as the “Guardian of the Gardens.”
