Environment

Transbay Child Development Center was designed by Italian architect Michele Zini, an expert in Reggio Emilia inspired school design, in accordance with our educational philosophies, the Reggio Emilia Approach and Resources for Infant Educarers (RIE), and is intended to foster the development of children's vital skills needed to reach their full potential in school and in life.

There are three classrooms, a Piazza (area where the school community can come together), an Atelier (studio area where children can engage in long-term projects), workspaces to encourage individual and group play and learning, and an outdoor garden/play area designed with nature in mind.

The nearby neighborhood, which includes the Salesforce Park, a transit center, the waterfront, and stunning skyscrapers, serves as an extension for learning and discovery.
